Bio:
Aloha mai kākou. ʻO au ʻo Pualiʻi Rossi-Fukino, no ka ʻāina hālau ʻo Wailua ma ka mokupuni ʻo Kauaʻi.
Aloha, everyone! My name is Pualiʻi Rossi-Fukino and I am from Wailua, Kauaʻi. I am the daughter of Kānaka ʻŌiwi parents, both of whom are originally from Oʻahu, but have lineal ties to Wailua and Waimea (father’s side) and Kōloa (mother’s side).
My culture and my kūpuna has always been at the forefront of the work I do, and now that I have two keiki kāne (ages 10 and 5), ʻāina work and restoration is even more critical.
My other kuleana is at Kauaʻi Community College where I teach Hawaiian Studies and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. I am also working towards a PhD from the College of Education in Aloha ʻĀina Leadership.
