Keoni DeFranco is the Managing Director of Mālama Studios at Purple Maiʻa Foundation. Mālama Studios empowers a coalition of Native Hawaiian-led organizations through training and accelerators to promote self-reliance and economic independence in Hawaiʻi. He serves as the Minister of Interior for the Nation of Hawaiʻi where he helps develop educational curriculum and programming around Native Hawaiian rights to self determination. Keoni’s greatest joy is kalo farming at Puʻuhonua O Waimānalo.
